Spring Style: The RAOUL Chapter

DYING…over RAOUL.

This Singapore based label creates clothing with such class, function, and quality, like the Leather Panel Fit ‘n’ Flare Pants or the staple Swing Shirtdress, that it will make your grandmother reminiscent of the “Good Ole Days” when quality and attention to detail was assumed and there was room for nothing less. Yet RAOUL has the cutting edge, designer know-how that could get a picture of you donned in their Maxi Wrap Skirt in zebra landed on the front page of  The Sartorialist.

The label, the brainchild of husband/wife design duo Douglas and Odile Benjamin, emerged back in 2002 with a focus on menswear, but saw a demand for classic women’s wear. “Essentially it’s normal clothes for normal people. It’s feminine and flirty and it’s youthful but it is for women. She’s a woman more than a girl. She is generally settled in her mind and knows what she is looking for. It has to be functional and relevant to her lifestyle, multitasking, glamorous and sophisticated. She has a busy schedule, a solid personal life and is super confident and looking for quality,” says Odile.“Everyone can relate to it. From 17-18 year olds to CEOs,” she adds.

That being stated, the light of Raoul was destined to shed on Embrasse-Moi, and we are THRILLED to introduce to you, their spring/summer line of ready-to-wear (especially these high waisted belted shorts). Available online and in our shop at 1 North Main Street in Pittsford, NY.  (And if you like the direction of RAOUL… keep an eye on the shop, we have plenty more coming that will satiate your thirst for playful, clean, smart resort and spring wear..did someone say Marc Jacobs?)
