Here’s one resolution for the New Year that you should do every year:
A bra fitting!
Ladies, your body changes and weight fluctuations (let’s face it, especially during the holidays!) every year so it is a good idea to get re-fitted to make sure your size has not changed.
A properly fitted bra should do the following:
- Comfortably fasten on the loosest hook when new. This allows you to tighten the bra to the second or third hook once it stretches out thus giving the bra longer life.
- Sit horizontally around your back
- Possess a center core (the connecting material between your breasts) that sits flat against your sternum
- Have a good-fitting underwire that nearly comes to your armpits, without cutting into your breast tissue or creating bulges
*the most common bra faux pas is wearing a band that’s too big and a cup size that’s too small
*your breasts should sit somewhere between your shoulders and elbows. The higher the girls the better! Try to keep that in mind when trying on bras. If your breasts are low riding, the bra is probably not supportive enough.
